Gas FuelUse this templateWhen a fuel receipt is worth having
Mileage and fuel claims
Volume and unit price on the same line, which is what most fuel policies require.
Fleet cards
Match a fuel charge to a vehicle and a driver on a single dated slip.
VAT and tax records
Fuel VAT can only be reclaimed against a receipt showing the tax separately.
Faded pump slips
Forecourt receipts fade fastest of all. Rebuild one while the numbers are still known.

Gas & Fuel Receipts: questions
What people ask before making a fuel receipt.
What does a fuel line look like?
Grade, volume and unit price together, then the amount — for example "UNLEADED 87 12.458 GAL @ 3.459" and then the total for that fill.
Does the pump number matter?
For a fleet or expense audit, yes. Pump and transaction number are how a station finds the same sale in its own records.
Is it free to use this template?
Yes. Editing and previewing are free and need no account, and downloads are free too — they just ask you to make an account so your receipts are saved and can be edited later.
Which formats can I download?
PNG, JPG and PDF. PNG is the sharpest for screens, PDF is the one to attach to an expense claim, and JPG is the smallest to send in a message.
Can I change every field?
Every line. The template loads into the editor as a stack of sections — header, date, items, payment, notes — and each one can be edited, reordered, added or removed.
